Joven's debut short story, Run., is officially out, and you can read it today! Published by Phoenix Tale Press, it's the first step in a bigger plan to bring Freya's story to life in narration and animation.

Run. was written by Joven and shaped alongside editor Jason Parker, who helped sharpen Freya's voice into something both funny and heartbreaking. Told entirely from Freya's point of view, the story asks readers to piece together a changing world through the eyes of someone who doesn't fully understand it.

Joven first wrote Run. in 2021, and it was originally acquired by an app that paired short fiction with animation. The story never made it to release, and now that the rights have reverted, Run. finally gets its moment.

Next up is a narrated audio version of Run., paired with an animatic that brings Freya's world to the screen for the first time. From there, the goal is a fully animated adaptation. Every copy sold goes directly toward making that happen, so picking up the story now means helping Freya take her next run.
